WINTER WONDERLAND WEDDING CONTEST
On December 1, 2016, NINA Weddings & Events & partners launched a Winter Wonderland Wedding contest, open to Calgary and Southern Alberta residents for an all expenses-paid luxury wedding at Azuridge Estate. We asked engaged couples to send us their love stories in consideration for a dream luxury wedding. By the time the contest closed on December 31, 2016, we were flooded with beautiful tales of love, dedication and challenges overcome.
On January 3, 2017, we had the immense pleasure of surprising our Winter Wonderland Wedding contest winners, Jessie & Jessie, with a dream winter wedding at Azuridge Estate this February (valued at $50,000). After reading the incredible love stories of more than 100 couples this past month, it became very clear that Jessie and Jessie deserved an incredible celebration of love. After job loss and financial hardships due to Calgary's economic downturn, and enduring what seemed like an insurmountable amount of tragic loss this past year (including the death of their infant son), the bride-to-be's plea for a celebration of love truly touched us all. "I feel like it would just be such a positive thing, and a way for our whole family to come together and celebrate life and love for a change instead of coming together in grief," says Jessie.
